The Worlds First Quad Port Air Delivery System
On start, the XTA spa blower draws air into the intake where it
expands and is compressed again before being drawn into a vertical
drop, whereby the air is once again compressed and changes
direction to travel horizontal to be compressed again and induced
to rotate at high speed, the air is then driven through the motor and
down through our “Quad Ports” to exit in the air outlet for connection
to the spa.
SOUND LEVEL: In the products that are available from the pool
industry (world wide) the method favored by most of the industry,
is to clog up the blower with masses of foam to absorb the noise
once the blower is running, this action usually causes high air
temperatures at the outlet and overheating of the motor which then
has to be controlled by a thermal cut-out.
With the XTA we reduced the noise factor at its source with the
result of a lower motor operation temperature, thus increasing its
serviceable life.
RELIABILITY: Reliability has best been achieved by the reduction of
the corrosive action of “moisture laden air” which is forced through
the motor after the pressure of water reclaims the void in the air
delivery line once the blower has been shut down.
Our patented “Quad Port Partition” strips moisture from the returning
airflow which is in turn forced through the motor. The XTA Blower
motor compartment has been specially designed to retain any
moisture clear of the motor. We advise the use of a quality one-way
valve for all installations and an “earth leakage protection system” for
added electrical safety.
AIR SUPPLY LINE: recommended 50mm pipe with 45o angles to
change airflow direction.
HOLE SIZES: Use as a guide only (on 50mm pipe) 32x6mm or 15 x 9.5mm holes.
IMPORTANT: Do not glue blower to air supply line. Use Industry Standards on all installations. Any service or warranty repairs on electrical components to be carried out by a qualified electrical contractor.

HOW IT WORKS

Air flowing into the blower creates “a rotating air mass” to smother high frequency motor noise.

Quad ports between motor and air outlet housing reduce moisture contact with live motor parts.

High volumes of moving air in motor compartment assist in cooling of components in high resistance installations.

Excellent motor cooling under all normal conditions has resulted in elimination of motor thermal cut-out in the XTA Blower.

50mm air delivery outlet allows a high delivery rate of air from the blower.

Returning air flow has restricted access to the motor unlike other spa blowers.

GENERAL DETAILS
Spa King has been tried & tested for over 30 years in the industry and surpasses all others in power and quietness of operation under full load conditions.
It is designed to do away with the problems that have traditionally plagued conventional spa blower motors, such as overheating, burn-out, corrosion and short operation life.
Spa King has separated airflows so that motor cooling operates independently of the aerifying airflow delivered to the Spa Water. This completely eliminates expensive
overheating problems caused by start up air supply line resistance, or tub air hole sizes or distance to equipment.
Design operation temperature are maintained in the motor at all times, clean fresh air is delivered to the tub. Corrosion due to chlorine - laden vapor reaching the motor is eliminated, and specially developed plastic mouldings,
foam divisions and injection moulded cover protect the unit
and reduce noise.

Spa King are also used on commercial installations and found to have a capacity well in excess of the blowers normal domestic requirements by supplying solid performance and value for money.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Spa King manufacture a range of Blowers: 220-240 volt 50Hz 1.5 Hp units.
All parts, subject to corrosion are made of plastic, and the unit is power authority approved with G.G.C.I. Protected circuit CA. (USA) Earth Leakage with quality one way valve preferred.
When installed in pool equipment rooms it is recommended that a 5cm by 30cm air vent should be provided at the bottom of the door with a 2cm x 30cm vent at the top. This will provide air circulation of benefit to Spa King Blowers and to other pool equipment.
Spa King carries a full 12 month warranty, limited on commercial sites and is covered by one or more of the following patents.
